Popular Help Topics:
Download the installer for your platform (Windows or macOS) from your organisation’s deployment page or the link your admin shared. Run the installer, sign in with your work email, and leave the agent running in the background. It connects securely to your org and starts sending activity, screenshots, and session data according to your organisation’s policy.
Organisation admins open Users (or Organisation settings), choose Invite user, and enter the teammate’s email. Assign a role such as Admin, Manager, Member, or Viewer—each role controls which dashboards, reports, and settings they can access. Invited users receive instructions to sign in and install the agent if they have not already.
Spectosoft classifies time as productive, neutral, or unproductive using app and website rules your admin configures. The Productivity report shows percentages and trends by person or team; the dashboard summarises active time, top apps, and alerts. Use date filters and team filters to review a specific period or group.
When recording is enabled, the agent captures screen sessions for a user within a time window. Managers open Threat Replay (or the replay view from a behavior alert), pick a user and time range, and review the timeline with video and activity markers. Replay helps investigate policy violations or understand context around an alert—not continuous 24/7 DVR for every employee unless your policy requires it.
Access is org-scoped: users only see data for their organisation. Roles (e.g. super admin, org admin, manager, member) plus optional permission keys control who can view activities, screenshots, recordings, run reports, change productivity rules, or manage billing. Admins configure this under Users and roles; members typically see only their own profile unless granted broader access.
Billing is per active seat (monitored user) on a monthly or annual plan (Core, Intelligence, or Enterprise). Organisation admins manage subscription and seat count in Settings → Billing or the Stripe customer portal. Invoices and payment history are available there; adding seats usually prorates on your current billing cycle.

Straight answers about installation, what we monitor, who can see data, and how productivity reporting works in Spectosoft.
Spectosoft is an employee monitoring and productivity platform built for distributed teams. A lightweight desktop agent captures work activity, including app and website usage, with optional screenshots and session recordings. Managers can review productivity reports, behavioral alerts, timelines, and exports from a secure web dashboard without relying on constant manual oversight.
Each user runs the Spectosoft agent on their computer. The agent sends encrypted events to your organisation’s cloud workspace. Managers sign in to the web app, filter by person, team, or date, and open Activities, Screenshots, Recordings, or Reports. Productivity scores come from rules that label apps and sites as productive, neutral, or unproductive.
Yes, when your organisation allows it. Employees can open their profile to view their own timeline, exports, and summary stats. Managers retain broader visibility according to role. We recommend clear written policies so everyone knows what is monitored and why.
Productivity and time-on-task reports, application and website usage, behavior-policy alerts, optional AI-assisted search over your org’s data, team filters, CSV/JSON exports, and session replay for supported alerts. Intelligence-plan customers get deeper analytics and assistant features.
Typically: active and idle time, application and window titles, URLs where the browser allows it, keystroke rates (not full keystroke content unless your org enables advanced logging), screenshots on a schedule, and optional session recordings for investigations. Exactly what is collected depends on policies your organisation enables.
Yes. Because monitoring runs on the device, location does not matter—home, office, or hybrid schedules all use the same agent and dashboard. Many customers use Spectosoft to see whether remote staff are engaged during core hours and which tools they rely on most.
The agent is built to stay in the background with low CPU and memory use. Screenshot and recording features add some overhead; most teams run default schedules without noticeable impact on everyday work. If you see issues, contact support with the device OS and agent version.
Data is isolated per organisation with role-based access, authenticated API access, and encrypted transport. Only users with the right permissions can view screenshots, recordings, or another person’s timeline. Admins control who is invited and which features are turned on.
