Monitor activity, understand productivity trends, and gain the insights needed to support modern remote and distributed teams.
Straight answers about installation, what we monitor, who can see data, and how productivity reporting works in Spectosoft.
Spectosoft is an employee monitoring and productivity platform built for distributed teams. A lightweight desktop agent captures work activity, including app and website usage, with optional screenshots and session recordings. Managers can review productivity reports, behavioral alerts, timelines, and exports from a secure web dashboard without relying on constant manual oversight.
Each user runs the Spectosoft agent on their computer. The agent sends encrypted events to your organisation’s cloud workspace. Managers sign in to the web app, filter by person, team, or date, and open Activities, Screenshots, Recordings, or Reports. Productivity scores come from rules that label apps and sites as productive, neutral, or unproductive.
Yes, when your organisation allows it. Employees can open their profile to view their own timeline, exports, and summary stats. Managers retain broader visibility according to role. We recommend clear written policies so everyone knows what is monitored and why.
Productivity and time-on-task reports, application and website usage, behavior-policy alerts, optional AI-assisted search over your org’s data, team filters, CSV/JSON exports, and session replay for supported alerts. Intelligence-plan customers get deeper analytics and assistant features.
Typically: active and idle time, application and window titles, URLs where the browser allows it, keystroke rates (not full keystroke content unless your org enables advanced logging), screenshots on a schedule, and optional session recordings for investigations. Exactly what is collected depends on policies your organisation enables.
Yes. Because monitoring runs on the device, location does not matter—home, office, or hybrid schedules all use the same agent and dashboard. Many customers use Spectosoft to see whether remote staff are engaged during core hours and which tools they rely on most.
The agent is built to stay in the background with low CPU and memory use. Screenshot and recording features add some overhead; most teams run default schedules without noticeable impact on everyday work. If you see issues, contact support with the device OS and agent version.
Data is isolated per organisation with role-based access, authenticated API access, and encrypted transport. Only users with the right permissions can view screenshots, recordings, or another person’s timeline. Admins control who is invited and which features are turned on.
