Review the Pilot Plan
The MSP Pilot Plan

An MSP pilot runs on one client account or service team, and leaves your PSA and billing records untouched. Here is how we scope it, what gets measured, and what stays with your existing tools to confirm.
How the pilot works
- Scope: One client account or service team. Your PSA stays the system of record throughout.
- Business question: A specific question about technician time, such as where effort is split across clients or why a client question takes long to answer.
- Data collected: Supported time, application, and activity data, compared against your existing time entries, not replacing them.
- Who's involved: Service delivery leads, operations, account managers, and the technicians on the pilot team.
- Review process: Every difference between Spectosoft signals and your PSA records is documented and reviewed before any figure goes into a client conversation.
- Boundaries: Spectosoft doesn't replace your PSA or RMM tools, generate invoices, or automatically classify billable work. How client data is kept separate depends on how the pilot is set up, and is confirmed with you before launch.
What we'll measure
- Time spent per client account compared with recorded time entries
- Idle time and tool-switching patterns across the pilot team
- Time to answer a client question about work done
- Completeness and timeliness of existing time records
- Risky activity detected and how much of it was reviewed
What this pilot doesn't claim
We won't promise a specific margin, utilization, or client retention improvement. A pilot can show where technician time goes and where records disagree. What you change in staffing, scope, or pricing is what moves the number.
