Review the Pilot Plan
The Technology Team Pilot Plan

An engineering pilot answers one concrete question, not a general productivity score. We pair Spectosoft's workflow signals with the delivery and developer-experience data your team already trusts.
How the pilot works
- Scope: One defined engineering problem, such as fragmented focus, after-hours load, or repeated setup friction.
- Business question: Chosen with your engineering leaders, and framed around workflow, not individual ranking.
- Data collected: Workflow telemetry paired with DORA measures and developer feedback. Never keystroke statistics or individual scores.
- Who's involved: Engineering leadership and developer-experience leads. The pilot is never connected to compensation.
- Review process: Engineers validate the cause behind a pattern before any process change is made.
- Boundaries: Spectosoft isn't intended to analyze source-code content, and it doesn't produce a single productivity score for any individual.
What we'll measure
- Frequency of application switching during defined focus periods
- Sustained after-hours work by team and on-call period
- Developer-reported friction and perceived productivity
- Delivery or quality measure related to the selected problem
- False classifications and data engineers ask to correct
What this pilot doesn't claim
We won't rank individual developers or reduce productivity to one activity metric. The pilot exists to find friction in the workflow, not to score the people working in it.
